it's been so sunny and beautiful here lately. everywhere i go, i see and smell flowers. just wonderful.

i used to have a huge garden and couldn't stop thinking about all the flowers i used to have. so, i splurged today and bought myself a dozen of pots and flowers/bulbs. i played all day in my patio.

so...what's your favorite flower? i've got so many, but if i have to pick just one, i must choose 'sweet pea'. i just planted some today and can't wait to see them blossom this summer.

i also love tulips (thumbelina was my favorite princess story growing up), high hope (rose), hydrangea (blue), oriental poppies, lavendar, and peony (dark pink one).

once my patio starts bursting with colors, i will post some pics of it. probably in few months.

Very Happy

Peonies rock- they are beautiful, hardy once they are established, and have a grand fragrance. But I can't provide a sample of the fragrance, unfortunately.

Well, it's technically not a flower, but it thrives by tricking insects and other animals into believing it's a flower. It's the nepenthes, or pitcher plant genera of carnivorous plants. Its leaves form pit traps which it uses to trap insects (although some of the larger varieties have been known to trap frogs, lizards, and even mice and small birds)and dissolve them for the minerals in their bodies. Twisted Evil

Here's a picture of the sinister nepenthes tentaculata:

I love the smell of lilacs. Gerbera daisies have got to be some of the happiest flowers ever and pansies are so cute. You can almost see their little faces.

I love all kinds of flowers. Especially the ones which bloom in the woods back home.

Here's a trout lily.

i also love lilacs, but i prefer butterfly bushes. they just look like lilacs, but smell better and attract lots of butterflies.
