Okay, I don't smoke anymore, but I'm going to Vegas in a few days with my mother-in-law-to-be and I wanna smoke there. There's the old excuses of "Oh, it's smoke from the casino" but I wanna be able to hide my cigarettes and lighter and sneak out on the balcony every now and then and do a little sinnin' in Sin City, if you know what I mean. Could I get away with it if I said they were a prescription for something or something?

How do you hide smoking from other people who are close to you? I wanna hear stories of how you've hid your habit from others and how long you got away with it.

The most straight-forward advice you'll get... The obvious - just smoke... Let her come to terms on how you live your life... If you hide it, and get caught (which you likely would- the stench of cigarette smoke is just too strong), it's only gonna make matters worse...

All my stuff only works with the Chica. You know...toothbrush, Altoids/gum, change of clothes, wash hands several times...won't work if you hop out on the balcony and light up and then go back inside.

Why do you want to smoke around the very person you don't want to discover you smoking?

I smoked for years before my parents found out, even when I was still living with them, and my mom is allergic to smoke, so she's ultra-sensitive to the smell. Here are some tips.

1. If you want to carry them around with you, wear baggy pants, preferably cargos. That will mask the otherwise obvious rectangle in your pants.
2. Wear a hat while you smoke.
3. Scrub your hands and face afterwards. Possibly change shirts.
4. Rub on some lotion or anti-bacterial hand gel after the washing.
5. Breath control. You decide what works for you.
6. Don't smoke if you're about to be in close quarters with the person in the next ten to twenty minutes.

This has Korean logic written all over it.

You've quit smoking which was obviously a feat based on what I've heard from those that want to quit. Why would you have it in your plans to smoke? I just don't get it. The other way around would make a heck of a lot more sense. Confused

If you're gonna smoke, baby, then come out blazing! Don't mealy mouth some 'medical prescription' excuse. Stand up, woman!

And blow some smoke in her face. Just like in those old detective movies.

Light up in front of her, and when she asks what the hell you're doing, tell her she's hallucinating -- no one's smoking; you must be senile, old lady.

It worked for me in a dream I had once.

You don't smoke anymore. BUT you want to smoke when you go to Vegas and visit your mother-in-law. And you don't want her to know that you smoke.

Does she make you nervous, and so you want to smoke?

Does Vegas make you want to smoke, the glamour and the bright lights?

Would a nicotene patch do?

This is most mysterious.

Isn't it funny? You are supposedly "perma-banned" for being a retard, yet the high and mighty "mods" suffer your presence.

Strange world.

Who exactly are you blowing, M*chael?
