All I can say is Hans Island is Canadian! CANADIAN I SAY!

Those Danish people are EVIL. How can they say it is their island!

We need maps - maps!

We need a song as well... To be honest, I don't think anyone really cares. It's all about saving face on both sides of the fence. Denmark put a ship over there a year back and now our Foreign Minister is stepping foot on there to let them know that it's not solely theirs. I can also see it being a trip in the case that interntional law was needed.

Either way... It will never get to the level of hillarity that has happened with Dokdo and that is too bad. I would like to see our own "Hans Island is ours!!" banners draped all across small town Canada.

I still think my rock-scissors-paper solution is the most elegant.
Best of 7, Denmark, and the loser pays the winner's bar tab.

Nah, it's the only one of the three that got any responses; you can tell people are very passionate and outspoken about the whole issue...

Oh Lord! I hope not. I wouldn't wanna have any part of that kind of stupidity. Next thing you know people will be lopping off fingers. Hmm...been done. How about slicing off ears? Your land? Sorry. I can't hear you. I just lopped off my ears. Talk to the hand.

Do you think this song can be adapted for that purpose?

I hope my translation is at least approximately right:

Lonely island, faraway from me, in the East Sea,
Today a violent wind blows.
With a tiny face I confront the wind.
Dokdo, last night I slept well.

Of course, Dokdo has two syllables and Hans has only one,
so that is one adaptation which will have to be made.

What do you mean Hans has only one syllable? Can't you hear it? ѽ? There are obviously 2!
