Hey guys! Here's a place to boast about the activities (or often inactivities) of your weekend.

Mine was ok. Friday night galbi with the boyfriend. Saturday morning was recovering from a soju headache and watching Soprano's season 1, then off to lunch... actually ate burger king (new garlic steakhouse burger set Mad ) for the first time in over a year, big spender! And today went to suwon station, aiming for the outback, but, due to over crowding , ended up eating at that fusion restaurant "Mulan" on the second floor- pretty good! And now we are gonna head for bed and watch "the island".

How was YOUR weekend? Very Happy

Went to a DVD bong on Friday watched a movie. Can't remember the title of it. Next day went down to Honje and played D&D for 9 hours or so, got back to my stall by around midnightish. Sunday went to a friends house for some of her excellent vegan cooking. I horrified some of her guest, and her husbands with my awful jokes.

For example during a conversation about computers, I dared to utter, "I know alot about computers, I hit a computer nerd with a brick once." I thought it was funny, but they didn't so I went back to my obvious role as the social leper.

After that wandered down to Nokbangseyeon station and bought my weekly supply of books. Got some good titles, one of the books even won and award once. I am feeling highly literate as a result. tried to go down to "Taco" and express my nonexsistant hispanic heritage, but I found the crowd a bit to large, and I was not in a waiting frame of mind. Found that the new Thunder Burger seems to be a over priced dump. Hence my dinner selection was Popeye's chicken. I do believe I am going to hop in the shower, and wander down to a little supo, to drink a few beers, and read one of my new books. I was thinking of shouting insults at the passing korean's in various foreign dialects.

Anyone know enough Farsi to translate, "You had sex with the camel the mated with your mother to give birth to you." ?

If not no worries I can resort to spanish, and pig latin.

Had a 5-hour meeting yesterday afternoon. Then dinner with my husband Cincin (a fairly decent Italian restaurant in Daejeon).

Today spent the whole day at home with my baby daughter, playing with her and making her food etc. Evening I cooked steak and stuff for dinner for me and hubby.

Uneventful.

Went out on Friday. Drank a little too much.

Had a birthday party for a friend at my house on Saturday. Ate lots of food and watched football til 2am.

Went hiking this morning and couch potatoed for the rest of the day. Waiting for Chelsea-Arsenal to come on, then it's back to work for the first day of semester tomorrow.

Pretty dull weekend, really.

I went on a bit of a tour yesterday- out to the elephant preserve, the botanical gardens and the orchid farm. I had a great Thai dinner, followed by an evening in the night market.

Today I got a late start, but went out to a wat in the forest and listened to a talk given by an English speaking monk. Then I had some great Thai food at a street market, and shopped the market for a while.

Now I have to go back and pack, because I leave Chiang Mai in the morning.

Back to Daegu on Tuesday. Crying or Very sad

Saturday I motorbiked Cheonan to Seoul, got a new back tire and wheel bearings. They said the chain sprockets need changing, ordered parts. Rained getting back to Cheonan. Soaked but not cold, still Summer.

Sunday I met the famous Dave's poster Grotto. Yes, I did. He's on the way out in a couple of days, to Thailand for a month, then to Canada. Maybe work in Canada teaching up North, or Thailand, or Taiwan, but he'll 'never work in a hagwon in Korea again', he says.

He has been in a very small town/village at a public school. Saw his teaching room. Cool school, built in the fifties, a classic. His teacher's apartment/house is cool, and big. Very quiet and fresh out there in the country. Motorbiked back home at night. Nice bike, I have two now, this one a dual sport/street legal enduro 350cc Suzuki 'dr'. 1992 but it's getting fixed up.

Whatever Dave's paying you, you are worth more. Ask him for a raise.

Yeah, but Lizara were you allowed to eat it as well?

Or are you on a diet?

I just heard on the grapevine that cheesecake has 6 times the calories of normal icecream (excluding Baskin Robbins of course)...

Worked until 10.30 on Friday night. Worked 9-1 on Saturday. Went to Namdaemun and Myongdong in the afternoon - my gf bought a bag, a pair of sandals and a top, and I bought a tie. I spent more. Met my workmate in Itaewon and had pizza at La Tavola, had a drink in the bar next to the entrance to Gecko's Garden, got the bus back to Suwon.

Spent Sunday morning asleep. Spent Sunday afternoon messing around on the PS2, teaching my gf how the simple present can be used to infer ability, internet shopping, digesting sushi after ordering far too much, and discussing music, the future and manga / anime / hentai. Put her in a taxi, bought some more podo juice from Homeplus, and hit the sack.
