Not cool....im more of a Ray Sefo fan than the beast but seeing the K guy win on a points decision sux. I wanted to see the guy get his head mashed by the beast but to his credit he stuck it to him all the way through so good on him i guess. I guess i'm annoyed because like the world cup, we'll be seeing highlights and replays and crowd reactions for the next 5 years. Plus it's affirming the view that koreans are the greatest race on earth.

Bring on ray sefo and see what the guy can muster against him!

What's up with letting the Korean guy punch on Sapp while he's receiving a standing count? I hope they didn't count that punch in their decision.

The Korean guy does little but stand there and put those big pillows they allow him to wear for boxing gloves in front of his face. And most all of what he does is lean down on other boxers like a big, lazy oaf, then knees them when they get tired of him leaning on them. Too bad they don't let them wrestle to the ground. I'd like to see that big Korean freak wrestle!

Also, why do they allow such huge gloves? His hands aren't THAT big! He just blocks everything like a big wussie with those big pillows.

Yeah, I hope somebody breaks that oversized freak jaw of his. Or better yet, this Sefo guy breaks his knees out from under him.

Sefo, Peter Aerts, Ernest Hoost (sp?), Mark Hunt, Bernardo can all take out the Blue haired Korean freak, but you haven't seen them fights yet. The Thai Muay Thai fighter put on the best show so far against Hong Man, much better than the freak on freak Akebono Sumo vs Shirrum draw.

If anyone can reach his head, he's down for the count.

The promoters are pitting the korean against fighters they are sure of he can beat. It's all about the Benjamins! Money! They want to get the korean market which equals more money. Hype. After he "wins" a few more fights....he'll be matched against the better fighters.

I'm not from N.Z, so there is case for patriotism here, but either Sefo or Hunt would nail that ajumma with an excuse for blue hair within the first round. Ajumma doesn't know how to punch, he is all muscle.

Actually, been more into Pride as of late? Who has been watching that Russian heavyweights progress, machine>

Also Wanderlina Silvo, that guy is truely an animal. He went the distance with Hunt and was outweighed by 30 kilograms.

I only saw the last part of the Sapp fight, but it's obvious that the Korean guy is tough and has a tremendous tactical advantage with his great height and long arms. His most devastating move is hooking his opponent's head from over-the-top with his gloves and pulling it into his big knee lift, usually busting their face open. His knees would appear to be his most vulnerable target, but, from what I've seen, he's got a good shot against any of the K-1 guys mentioned with the possible exception of Sefo (who I've never seen...) Aren't 'Aerts, Hoost, Hunt and Bernardo all well past their prime?

Hong Man fights Remy Bonjasky in the final 8 of the K1 World GP in Tokyo
November 19.

I can't wait to feel the earth shake from here when that timber falls from one of Remy's high kicks.

You guys got to stop hating on Choi. He fought a smart fight. Hating on Choi for hitting Sapp when he was down is hypocritcal if u are a fan of Sapp. that dude breaks the rules all the time. Remember his first Hoost fight, he mashed Hoost against the ropes after almost being knocked out. Sapp is a shitty fighter who wins on sheer size and power. Choi displayed some agility and boxing know-how in the fight. I think he can give Bonjovsky a run for his money IF Remi doesn't show in shape. (Like he did on Friday). If Remi is in shape and healthy, I would think a 3rd round TKO is in order for the Belgium.

I would actually like to see Choi fight Sefo and knock his ass out. That man dances around way too much for my liking.

I like to see skills in the ring, not a reliance on God's freakish physical gifts of nature.

That being said, it is true that patience and out-lasting are quality attributes, and anyone who can go 3 rounds with Sapp deserves to be called whatever good things you can think of.

Isn't Remi from Holland?

Ray Sefo massacred Bob Sapp, He got inside and took all the punishement from the big guy then when he was spent opened up on him and knocked his big ass to the ground. Choi never came close to that, what was so great about his boxing?...he has a freakish reach but that never came to play during the entire fight, they both fought like crap in some parts of that fight, getting into the ltter parts of the rounds where it's obvious the beast was totally out of gas, choi shoose to stand back and wait for the bell as opposed to striking when the iron is hot. Choi is an average kickboxer at best, his fight that wen 3 rounds against the tiny (comparatively) thai kickboxer was fought a lot better by the thai guy than by choi, and the akimono fight...well the guy was morbidly obese.

Choi needs to get those long legs working...why does he never kick? even Francios botha lets loose with a few kicks now and then...why not choi?.

As to Ray sefo...He has all the goods in his arsenal, Choi doesn't have much of a chance aginst someone with his ability, experience and conditioning. Sefo is simply a far better kickboxer. End of story.
