Anyway recently i have heard many stories from Friends about the child prositution problems in cambodia and the like, I also saw a tv documentary on it a while ago.

This thing has really got to me and touched a raw nerve. Parents even sell there kids off to prostitution to get the money they need to live on.

Foreigners have little kids coming up to them in the street saying `dollar good fun tonight...dollar have good time`

I have lived in nigeria for a while and seen life at its poorest, but i just cannot get these kids out of my head and what they are being subject to.

Many men and older teenagers are not helping the problem....porno mags and photos on the internet of teenage girls 15 -16 ( i just had one posted on another thread i wrote)

Do men realise what they are doing.....they are encouraging child prostitution and illegal material...

Dont say oh these girls are up for it......of course they are they have no other choice....they must get paid somehow....in fact these kids will be scarred for life, probably never able to have proper relationships because they will never trust anyone again.

Ok its a good `quicky` for you when you are bored and have the urge.

For them its another painful scar of humiliation on their young life. do you think these kids will forget seeing their pictures of their bodies stewn across the internet for every man to see....the old man ....the young man...the peodophile whatever.

In fact ask yourself what the meaning of a peodophile is....maybe you are one.....attracted to children sexually ( a child is still a child to 16). whether you actually do the act of having sex or merely encourage it by buying that type of magazine You are one of the culprits.

Sorry for all the spelling mistakes, i was in a very angry mood when i wrote this.

Show me a link between pornography on the internet and child prostitution in Cambodia and I'll give your scarcely understandable, emotive rant some more time. If you had any idea of how the sex industry operates in SE Asia, you would realise that the biggest problem as regards underaged prostitution is in the local sector of the market. In places like Thailand and Cambodia, the tourist sex trade makes up but a fraction of the total. Western countries have upped the ante recently and made child sexual exploitation a prosecutable offense in the offender's own country even after he or she has served time for it in the first country. If you want to learn or help out more, I suggest you donate to an organisation such as ECPAT.

i get your point....maybe the link is not so easy to see....but its all linked up somewhere....

people whos minds are perverted and kids

surely thats at least some link.

Also i do actaully know a bit about the sex industry back here...and your not all right on you thinking its so far fetched to link the two. Im not mother teresa....and i dont see myself preaching to street kids.....But at least when you have some first hand experience of the problem. I can say
how those kids must feel. ...Maybe u have never been in that situation have u???

Please. The links between porn and actual sexual conduct is indisputable. Doesn't matter where.

So you are saying that porn causes child sexual abuse?

Origianally i was talking about child porn and Child prostitution...if you cant see the link maybe you are just feeling nervous....
It was not my point to say `which how why where` and pick arguments.....child prostitution happens all over the world new york city even...s.e asia was merely cited as an example...

What u see on the net as merely `pictures and photos` is not half the story...you only have to go behind closed doors to find out that really....it is all the same thing.

Abuse is abuse - i dont see how u cant say it is so totally different

its not just sexual abuse its physcological. brainwashing....like the way cults do. The kids grow up with an understanding of what is right and wrong based on who brings them up, or in this case `who manages them`
They are forecd into all sorts of weird stuff and you can sit back and argue `child porn on the net has no link to child prostitution?.

If you are saying a man that is attracted to a 16 year old girl is a paedophile, then I would say you are wrong. A paedophile is a person that is attracted to prepubescent children - a definition that the vast majority of 16 year olds, and indeed even 15 year olds, do not fit. A genuine paedophile would not be attracted to postpubescent adolescents.

Got a source for this, capt? Or do we just have to take your word for it?

so a 15 year old is an adult who can think totally on his own feet plus all the consequences to what he/she is doing??

Ok granted maybe my exact definition is not correct pick at it as you wish...but just because girls tend to mature quicker than boys at that age doesnt mean to say they can cope with any more of that trash...

If i a 25 yr old female went after a 15 year old guy i would be in trouble....its underage sex basically and against the law and any adult who has any decency would understand why. abusive or premature Sex is not just sex, it entails a whole lot of other emotional and phsycological factors which may or may appear or reveal themselves until years later.

whether you like it or not having sex with a girl /boy under the age of 16 is illegal. - because they are not yet adults and can not yet think like adults. If you take girls/boys as simply sex objects rather than human beings who have feelings and emotions, then obviously you cant understand what i am trying to say and you have a lot to learn.

Don't have a source, but understand this to be true. Look at Korea: huge sex industry and the vast majority of customers are the Koreans themselves. Sure, there are enough military to use of some of the supply, but the Koreans are by far the biggest customers.

Except that it doesn't. A person who fancies sleeping with children will probably enjoy watching porn, but you'll find no evidence that porn will cause a person to sleep with children who otherwise wouldn't have.

People who speak Korean almost universally eat rice, does that mean rice causes people to speak Korean? Correlation does not equal causation.

The age of consent in Canada is 14, for example.
