American English Versus British English
Cookies / Biscuits
Cookies / Cookies (yeah the real cookies you can from subway)
Biscuits (from popeye) / Scones
Conclusion: American English lacks variety and is all messed up

I for one think the OP should head back home to Mom and Dad's basement. Expressing a preference for cookies is indicative of an immature nature not yet ready to take on the variety of cultural experiences Korea has to offer. Pies, cakes and muffins are just as good as cookies. I won't say anything about those fish-shaped thingies you buy on the street that are filled with red bean paste because I can't think of the name for them. Chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies and oatmeal cookies have their place in any well-rounded diet of junk food, but to limit oneself to only cookies is just ridiculous. I've rarely heard anything so juvenile.
PS: Welcome to the board! (Recent discovery: 'egg cookies' are the same as vanilla wafers. They come in a box or bag with yellow chicks on it.) |

I refer you to the works of the great rock band Tool. On the cd Aenima you will find a song entitled Die Eier Von Satan. You'll need to understand german, or find a person who does, to translate it for you, (or do a google search of the song to find out what the hell I'm talking about) but I assure you it has to do with cookies. And yes, that's Satan in the title of the song.
Atleast I believe it to be about cookies. I guess the definition of what exactly consitutes a cookie vs. some other form of edible cookie-like pastry would be needed to be sure. Still, great song.

Ah BS!!
Oh I dont think that really happened. I have been here for 37 years and that has never once happened to me or anyone I know. You probably just misunderstood that little cookie.
Here is a clue- you are not in Canada anymore!
Things are different here. You have to learn to adapt to the Koreans culture and ways of making cookies and not be so stuck in the "my homeland is so superior" way of thinking.
