Agree wholeheartedly with the exception of Bobby McFarrin- that guy is a vocal wizard. |

I think "Don't worry, be happy" was a good song. The rest I agree suck.
Btw, Bulsajo, I never knew about Bobby Mcferrin. I checked out his homepage and am really impressed. You can play two songs that are created with just vocal layers, and it lets you remove and add the layers as you wish, to sort of play around with them. It's awesome. |

Remember how he was supposed to be the next Elvis? |

I agree with all execpt Macfarin and Huey Lewis. I don't think Huey gets enough respect, they've got some good songs. And I've always hated Limp Bizkit. Even in my angry teen days when I was in to korn I hated them.
Interesting trivia though, Macfarin will no longer sing Don't Worry.

The list is pretty good but there are some real puzzling choices. They seem to be like someone's auntie, quite concerned with cultural values: they hate the lyrics of some great songs, hate the eighties, hate a great work of social criticism. (And they can't find a Michael Jackson tune to put on the Top50 worst of alltime list???)
I disagree with these, great tunes. Take them off the list!
CLASSICS:
The Sounds of Silence is on their extended list of worst of all time?
I've loved that song since I was 8 years old. it is timeless.
Kokomo by the Beach Boys. They hate the lyrics? And most of all can't stand my fav "Aruba, Jamaica, ooh, I wanna take ya! Still nice on a hot summer's day.
"American Life" by Madonna. Of all her songs the one they choose for their Top-50 worst is the one that has a lot of social criticism and original rhythm?
GREAT WORKS OF THE EIGHTIES:
Greatest Love of All by Whitney is made fun of because of her personal troubles in recent years. A low blow and beside the point.
From a Distance by Bette Midler. They are arguing against the religious reference?
Sunglasses at Night by Corey Hart may not be timeless but it's still played often on Canadien radio stations and captures the eighties, even if one doesn't like that era.
Broken Wings by Mr. Mister. Another eighties tune that may not resonate today but is clearly creative and far from cookie cutter. |

i can't believe they produced an article called the "The Top 100 blahblahblah" and they have the nerve to turn around and call other people's work "cliched."
I despise Top 100 lists like this. It's the laziest kind of magazine article. |

I like a lot of those songs! A #1 song doesn't become #1 for no reason!! Why isn't "Walk Like an Egyptian" on there, or ANYTHING from Mariah Carey? Her stuff now doesn't bother me, but when she first came onto the scene, she set the stage for G.O.D. and Korean pop. We need a barfing emoticon... |

Didn't know anyone else remembered that last. All great songs. Virtually any song by the BBs is going to have fabulous harmonies, at minimum. Absolutely does not belong. And Sound of Silence? Are they insane? |

Go there and click on the right-most gray circle, entitled "Sing & Play with Bobby".
It's really fun. I went there just now and have a few layers from the "Just Enough" song going in the background. It's really soothing. |

Actually, McCartney and Wonder's "Ebony and Ivory" has a kicking guitar solo by the great lead guitarist from Pink Floyd, David Gilmore. Just check it out and you'll agree with this geezer. |
