Christopher Yates, 30, was knocked to the ground and his head kicked like a football last November, the Old Bailey was told.

Sajid Zulfiqar, 25, Zahid Bashir, 23, and Imran Maqsood, 21, of Ilford, east London, will be sentenced on Thursday.
The court heard that after the attack Zulfiqar shouted, in Urdu: "We have killed the white man. That will teach an Englishman to interfere in Paki business."
***Unclear motive***
Mr Yates's head was stamped on and he died from multiple injuries to his face, said Anthony Leonard QC, prosecuting.
The victim, from Barking, described as a quiet, harmless man, wandered into the university where he had been a student, after hearing music.
Mr Leonard said a teenage girl standing nearby heard the remarks in Urdu made by Zulfiqar.
Mr Leonard said the reason for the attack was unclear, but the defendants had all been drinking all day..
These are evil men and people like this should not be free to roam about our streets hurting innocent people
Family statement
"It was a ferocious attack," he said.
After attacking Mr Yates, the group, all unemployed, moved on to Ilford where they shouted racial abuse at a black resident who remonstrated after they damaged vehicles and set off car alarms.
An Asian member of staff was assaulted at a local curry house before Zulfiqar attacked another black man in a nearby street.
They were arrested after hiding in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, a week later, as they made plans to flee the country.
After the verdicts, Mr Yates' family released a statement which said: "Our much-loved son, Christopher, was brutally and viciously killed with merciless ferocity.
"These men have robbed us of a precious son, whose whole life lay ahead of him.
"Although the verdict has brought some comfort to us, it can never replace the loss of our beloved son, Christopher.
"These are evil men and people like this should not be free to roam about our streets hurting innocent people."

I often state I don't like to live in areas of high immigration due to security problems. This encourages crime due to the ease of escape plus the actual hinderence of enforcement when they actually do flee. |

| In the interests of balance, would you care to mention any hate crimes commited by whites recently, such as the cousin of Everton footballer Joey Barton who killed himself a "nigger"? Or for that matter, would you care to mention the number of hate crimes committed by your beloved BNP and their associates such as Combat 18? If you like living amongst your own so much, why are you in Korea? |

Aye, we shouldn't import race hate when we have so much of it already...
I'm glad the bastards were put away for life. Mind you, maybe you didn't notice that they attacked an asian man as well as a black man and the guy who died. It sounds like they weren't so much racist as completely unhinged.

The trio attacked an Asian man but didn't say what ethnicity so it may have been a interethnic hate crime ie the Balkans. or a religious hate crime. The BBC goes way out of its way to protect the trio mentioned above per the instruction of the UK government.
I thought all immigrants were doctors and scientists. These people aren't doctors or scientists.
I am not an immigrant. I am a guest worker. Trust me, when its time to leave I'll pull none of that "this is my home, kicking dragging and screaming" nonsense.

These guys were almost certainly born in UK. I don't understand your comment about all immigrants being doctors etc.
It says they attacked an Asian in a curry house, so the probability is that he was Bangladeshi, perhaps Pakistani (used to be the same thing, of course). They also attacked a black man.
So who do these drunken Moslems hate? The Cucasian? The Asian? The African? |

Black man killed by white racists = Front page of every newspaper and lead story on the BBC evening news.
Not the first time such double standards have been witnessed either. |

What do you mean front page on the BBC? That just means it is the top story for this hour, or time of day. If it makes the BBC news tonight, or if it is the headline of any of the national dailies, I will say I was wrong. White on Black racially motivated crimes receive far more coverage than vice versa, and you would have to be blind not to see it.
The Anthony Walker killing was the lead story in every paper and was the lead story on the 10pm news. It received alot of media coverage. Incidents where whites are killed by Asians or Blacks in race crimes receive nowhere near such coverage. Why?

| It may be 'front page' of the BBC, but it is a relatively minor story down the page. It is certainly not one of the leads. Anyway, I will be down the newsagent in a minute, and I will be able to check if this has made a splash. I am willing to bet it will not have. |

The same reason that some race hating lazy English teachers get into Korea, I suppose. |
