Korean private (Presbyterian) Middle School. It's pretty much the same as teaching at a public school except that the teachers aren't transferred to different schools in the district. From what I understand, private schools such as mine, receive money from the government.

Only time we have ever taught in a strictly hogwon like setting was our first year when we solely taught for a univ hogwon. Since then its been a mix of univ and univ hogwon classes

What are the requirements for a uni job in Seoul that pays a living wage? (ie not 1.6...2.0 or higher)
I'm pretty sure you would have to have a Master's, right?
Does it have to be in English, or can it be in any field?

I got mine with a BA in Psych and 4 years of experience.

I am about to start at a uni down south, BA Hist and 2 years in a hagwon. 30 hours per week however, but 10 weeks vacation is better than some. I hope to get a real uni job next year.

Umm, I thought you mentioned in another thread this(talking about teaching without a degree):

Nonsense. Do it. I am on my fifth tourist visa. I have friends that have been here as tourists for 7 years.
