I decided, thanks to the persuasive abilities of Gang Ah, to go get me a PC on payday.

I dont want stinking Windows XP.

So, is there anyone out there with a lesser version of Windows in English who's willing to burn or borrow me a copy?

Feel free to PM me.

If you wan't a copy that will boot from CD (difficult to make - never been successful yet) then follow the directions on Lemons Guide to Shopping in Yongsan and buy a CD from the guy in the tunnel. I did and everything runs perfect. he's got tons of stuff there, most of it is available from kazaa. English windows I think runs you about 20,000won maybe less.

I used XP. I'd like something with less bells and whistles. 98'd be fine.

But nothing like Linux, I'm not a barbarian.

But it's not about the bells and whistles; You're only thinking of the GUI but the most important differences- the ones that make XP better than than Win9x- are the ones you can't see.

Easy peasy. I've never had a problem making a bootable XP disc. Try the Google Oracle for guidance. Wink
