I like my liquor as much as the next man. But it can be tough to stay awake and in high spirits until 7+ am at a dance club on alcohol - in fact quite the opposite sometimes.

Obviously in North America there are "alternatives". But I do not consdier them prudent options in Korea. Are there any special ingredients that people mix into their nightlife to provide energy for those all-nite slammin' parties?

Monkey urine. It will keep you up all night, and no hangover. I swear. Try it.

Ephedrine is perfectly legal in Korea. I've mail ordered it several times and had it delivered with all the customs and securities checks on it.

Maybe a little "Bacchus F" mixed with soju? Bacchus is a kind of Redbull so the mix is a little like redbull and vodka. It will give you some energy if you have a couple of them.

Bacchus F is nothing like Red Bull. Bacchus-F has only 30mg of Caffiene, which is less than a can of coke.

Similar taste, and a boatload of Taurine like Red Bull, but thats it.

There is nothing legal that I know of that does what you want. I too am frustrated with that. I guess I'll just have to hit the gym more and get more natural energy from being healthier. Bummer!

You can spin on Ephedrine and it mixes well with alcohol and it definately keeps you up. Its also legal. Its the supplement in alot of body building/fat burner capsules you can buy like Hydroxycut, T-Max and Xenedrine but those have a bunch of other shit in them, you can purchase a bottle of pure Ephedrine in 50mg pill forms.

3 tablets of Ephedrine and a couple shots and the effects are similar to Crystal Meth and somewhat like E (without the altered state euphoria).

It comes from the plant herb Ephedra, which is widely used in Chinese Medicine, so it is likely you can buy the pure herbal form in Korea or you can order the synthetic pill form over the internet.

Don't know if this is what you're after, but.... There's a kind of canned coffee called "Nescafe Coffee Red". I think it has red ginseng or something in it, but it's got a punch to it. I drink one of those at work sometimes when I start to get tired, and 20 minutes later I'm practically vibrating. They're a little hard to find, though, try Family Mart or LG 25. A couple of those should wake you up. (Mind you, I've never tried Red Bull or the other "energy drinks", so I can't really make a comparison.)

The kick in Bacchus F is not the caffeine, it's the nicotine. 20 mg of nicotine. The average cigarette has 1 mg. If you don't believe me, check the label, nicotine is the same word in Korean (ƾ).

I avoid that stuff like the plague, and still I can't believe that it's not only available at convenient stores and pharmacies, but given to children.

What do I use to juice myself up? Let's Be Premium coffee in a can, and I usually drink rum and coke or bourbon and coke all night long if I'm doing an all-nighter.

But since I'm sick of wasting my Sundays nursing a hangover and lack of sleep I try to split a cab home at around 3 or 4. Usually costs less than trying to drink 'til 6 am.

I drank a bottle of that stuff once and it felt like a hand was squeezing my heart. I was afraid to go up or down stairs for an hour.
