I've talked to a Russian guy in Junggu, Seoul. He said "South Korea is better off replacing the American military in Korea for a moderate Russian military. The next South Korean president will be a pro-China, pro-Russia anyways. So why the fuss about the American military when South Korea can replace with a better Russian military?"

Yep the trolls are out. China and Japan would be thrilled to have Russian troops based in Korea. Just thrilled!!!! What are moderate troops? I do not think Russia and South Korea have made up yet over the moderate Russian military shooting down a Korean civilian passenger plane. Maybe you meant Japanese troops that would go over well.

Your Korean/American friend is an idiot.

Says a right winger Albertan who worships 2MB like Jesus Christ. Laughing It's too bad that 2MB is indirectly weakening the US-Korea alliance.

You forgot I was also raised in Moscow during the late Yeltsin era. Ты конечно не знает.

I didn't forget - I didn't care.

There's a difference.

As for worshiping LMB - mind showing me any post where I say anything close to that?

You're just miffed because I called you on your BS and asked you to actually back up your claims with links and facts - something you were/are unable to do.

Wow. You really did care by posting a sincere post. How weird.

You are a dedicated right winger who defended 2MB 1-2 months ago in our discussions. Do I need to say more? I've shown you evidences in Korean that you often neglect. You mocked me so much in the past. What is wrong with you?

Add arson on Hooker Hill to the great list of US military personel achievements. Managed to burn up five places in one go.

Good job, guys!

Maybe next time you can target someone that matters, like some ch'aebol directors. Or if you do a number on SM entertainmnet bigwigs the drinks are on me. God knows that K-pop sheet and all their flash mob happenings are annoying.

Food for thought. If the North hadn't invaded there would be no US troops in Korea.

And if the US/UK/Soviets hadn't divided the country up there wouldn't have been a North to start with.

.....and if they U.S. hadn't sent Perry over to mess with Japan and left them alone, Japan wouldn't have started down the path to war.....

...and if the French hadn't helped the Colonialists....

This game is stupid. What happened happened. I say at most is the "people still alive" rule, which is still valid for the U.S. defeating Japan...once the last WWII vet dies, its on to a different event that is "why you're standing here today" (for argument's sake, not history and tradition's).

I don't think there are any Japanese-Russo War/WWI vets still alive for Japan or the U.S. so we can't go back that far...

Actually there's only one...

http://readersupportednews.org/news-section2/343-203/8505-obama-tells-asia-us-here-to-stay-as-a-pacific-power

Quote:
President Barack Obama has vowed to expand US influence in the Asia-Pacific region and "project power and deter threats to peace," even as he reduces defence spending and winds down two wars.

"The United States is a Pacific power, and we are here to stay," he declared in a speech to the Australian parliament, sending an unmistakable message to Beijing.

Obama's speech came the day after he announced he would send military aircraft and up to 2,500 marines to northern Australia for a training hub to help allies and protect American interests across Asia. He declared the US was not afraid of China, by far the biggest and most powerful country in the region.

China immediately questioned the US move and said it deserved further scrutiny.

Emphasising that a US presence in the Asia-Pacific region was a top priority of his administration, Obama stressed that any reductions in US defence spending will not come at the expense of that goal.

"Let there be no doubt: in the Asia-Pacific in the 21st century, the United States of America is all in," he said.

Just in case anyone didn't realize...

Ok, it doesn't necessarily mean troops have to be stationed in Seoul...but I'd bet good money that they will be here indefinitely.
