Or ask your womenfriends about the only guy they ever truly loved, the story will go something like this "But he treated me so badly, he used to cheat on me and chat up other girls in front of me. He only hit me a few times, but that was my fault. he really broke my heart, but I love him still so much!!" etc.

I have and we do talk about it. I don't know too many who let men treat them badly. However, this is a myth we talk about alot. Most of my women friends...some married..some not..some entangled some not...We all wonder why men believe this myth and seem to use it as an excuse to act like an idiot.

Again, I have to wonder what kind of women you date that they seem to want that sort of neanderthal or accept that kind of neanderthal treatment.

I don't think most women like nor accept it unless they have no self esteem or are just desperate. I am neither.

Jade

IME, women with decent levels of self-esteem do not accept their boyfriends telling them who they can talk to and who they can't and when they are allowed to smile and when they aren't.

Oops, I see you corrected your previous post about my ilk. Well, ilk or not, I'm calling you on your hypocrisy. You talk a great game, though.

Translation...you think you're the nicely behaved guy, then someone you view as competition walks in the door--hey, perhaps he's a GI, that wouldn't be surprising!--and all the women flock to him, you feel left out, so you classify him as a loudmouthed idiot, fits your little scenario perfectly...doesn't it?

I'm sitting there talking to girls who want to be respected for their minds, some beefcake walks in the door and the girls reveal themselves to be shag-hounds just like men. That fits, too.

Well, if you're talking U.S. military, they get awesome benefits. Did you know that plastic surgery is now free for the U.S. military and their dependents? This includes nose jobs and booby implants!!! All on the taxpayers dollar. Rolling Eyes

LOL that was the funniest thing i have ever heard. your really good at sarcasim.

actually the truth is its a case of grass is greener.

when i was a soldier here i thought teachers get all the chicks.. why? Because when cerfew time comes I had to go home and the teachers could stay and play. but now that i am not in the army I notice that when the soldiers leave many clubs become much emptier makeing you feel like the soldiers left with all the girls. It doesnt mater if i left at cerfew with a girl or stay after cerfew with a girl the grass is always greener in some one elses lawn.

You two are both wrong...those skateboard toating hooligans you see loitering in Itaewon are army brats.

Take the most disrespectful kyopo, add a pinch of G.I testosterone and throw in a dash of backpacker turned english teacher and you've created this horrible monster.

thanks for that deep psychoanalysis sherlock, I'm almost ready to crack under your unnerving interrogation.
I'm just making a general observation. Women are attracted to jerks. And then they complain that they get abused, cheated on or worse, beaten around.
Mind you, most guys are simply attracted to a woman with a nice rear or a big rack, regardless of her personality. then they complain that she flirts with all the guys, or is too high maintenance.
meantime, the nicest, genuine, intelligent people are left simply because they are deemed boring or unexciting.
So we're all just as bad.

Soldiers aren't the only ones with curfews, many koreans do too.

After going out to the clubs in Hongdae at night, I might've been inclined to help bash the GIs after seeing some of the chowderheads there out to "get some". But I've been playing music with some military guys (all a bit older) and met some of their friends who have come out to our shows, and they're all really decent people. I even had my girlfriend come out, and she was treated with respect and made to feel comfortable. This compared to some coworkers I had the "pleasure" to work with last year at my old school. One night we all went out for dinner, then drinks later. I made the mistake of inviting my girlfriend along with them, and before the night was over, one was trying to feel her leg in the cab (he's married by the way), and the other tried to stick his hand down her pants. And even after that happened, the rest of the semester they still had the nerve to use the word "bro" with me. Yeah, truly my bros! So, doesn't make sense to overly generalize here.

If we all behaved a little more properly, maybe this type of post would not be necessary.

I am not discluding myself from that suggestion either.

Like I said before, girls, date whomever you want. I don't give a rat's behind.
