I think it's not much different than bandaging Chinese women's feet centuries ago. You can't go anywhere fast and can be controlled and manipulated much easier. (Not to mention the pain inflicked.)
Therefore, I would say that they are not sexy. A sensible woman wearing comfortable shoes, looking happier is much wiser and sexier, IMHO. |

They elevate the behind, arch the back and lengthen the legs while defining their shape. Do I need to elaborate further? |

I agree. High heels don't belong in the street, subway, or hiking trails, but are good inside of offices and hotels. I noticed so many Korean women wearing them in the rough streets which must be murder on their feet. In the states, women just don't hardly do that anymore as they went casual for the most part. Heck, most don't even wear make up anymore back home nor wear real feminine attire. The Korean city girls have to be some of the most feminine women in the world.
It's a phase and then, when the culture and economy is eventually mature like in the West, they'll go to basic blue jean casual style with no heels, little jewelry nor make up. Years ago, women in the West used to dress to the 9's, similar to Koreans today, in beautiful dresses with large bling jewelry in glamor style. Today, it's casual at home and not as much fun eye candy like you see in Korean cities. |

I was in Boracay a few years ago and watched a mob of Koreans walking down the beach.
Some of the women were wearing high heels on the beach. |

| I think high heels are sexy and Korea has so many cute ones! However, I've been here 3 months, worn my heels one time and spent a week recuperating. This everday, all the time stuff that K women do... inhuman! |

Yeah, they really slow you down, and impair your gait as well as your health. If you have to run suddenly, or when it's raining, it's a pain in the butt.
I hate the clicking sound, which announces your presence a mile away. "Hello, I'm here, look at me!" I for one feel more vulnerable, especially if I'm in a skirt as well. |

| -I have a pair of men's platform boots. I pulled out the lifts, so now I'm only 6'5" in them. And yes they go click-clack-click. But I love the looks they get. |

I don't do stilettos, and I wear ballerina flats a lot, but I find a certain amount of power in the added height of heels sometimes. It's nice to be able to meet men's glances, and that's more difficult to do when you're much shorter. |

| High heels make a woman look more attractive because they force certain changes in her posture than appear sexually appealing and submissive. 1) She's up on her tip toes, flexing her caves and making them more toned. 2) she looks like she has longer legs (an attractive trait). 3) because she is up on her toes, her center of gravity shifts forward. Therefore, she is forced to do something to compensate or else she will fall flat on her face. What most women do to compensate is to stick their nice plump butt out behind them more... ... of course, alot of guys like that in the same way male cats enjoy female cats who are in heat. |

Yep, they're sexy but they are highly impractical.
I grew up in Europe and I distinctly remember that most women would wear heels all of the time. Now it is more 50/50. Still alot of heels but also more sensible footwear. I am tallish so they only come out when I need to look very professional or when I am going out on the town. Feeling taller makes me feel more secure or more commanding even if I do wiggle when I walk when wearing said heels. However, in everyday life I stick to cute flats since I want my feet to stay in relatively good shape in my later years and I don't always want to go for the power amazon look. But if I do want to get some attention...watch out for the stilettoes. |

Another reason not to wear heels. I do not want to appeal to men who find submissiveness attractive. Besides, I've a nice enough rump, thank you very much. |

I wear them a few times a week and I do think they are sexier than flats. Some days, I am fine to wear Chucks and watch with a blissful smile as the other girls stomp around the subway in crazy high heels, but other days, I'm one of those girls. It depends on the outfit and my mood. When I want to feel extra-nice, I always opt for heels.
I agree with whoever said you have to be able to walk well in them. It's funny to watch girls awkwardly drag themselves along or walk unnaturally while wearing heels. On the other hand, a lot of Korean females look like they were born in heels, they maneuver themselves so well. |
