Thought I would check up on this topic again, as its been months since I last posted in it.

Is anyone going to Uiryeong, Gyeonsangnam? Provided my docs check out, I'll be there from the 15th September.

If you know the location and the town you will be in and you are arriving Sept 15, this won't be an EPIK appointment with the compulsory orientation happening next week as per the main discussion happening here.
Possibly your recruiter put your papers in directly to a POE, not through the EPIK office in Seoul. Who did you interview with?

This area you are going to is the south, small, inland and rural and a considerable distance away from main cities such as Daegu and Busan

Yeah, its not EPIK. I was however one of the first people in this topic to apply to EPIK, but did not make the final cut and went with a POE instead. My bad for being a bit premature in asking those still waiting to find out where they will be placed.

First of all. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!

It's been a long while since I posted here, I was just wondering how everyone got (is getting) on. Did you all make it over to Korea? (still there?) etc.

I ended up in Spain, which isn't too bad. I even made it to the beach a few weeks ago to catch some rays, whilst my home Country was shut down because of some snow (LOL).

I'm still thinking about going to Korea (August 2011). We'll see..........
