I kinda automatically lose respect for any man who considers 'she will/won't cook for you' a criteria for the state of a marriage...
Having said that there may be a fair few attractive Korean women around, but far too many of them are either completely hollow and vapid inside, or genuinely certifiable, for me to waste my time on. Gimme a nice attractive waygook gal who I can have an 100% uninhibited conversation with any day of the week over some mentally insufficient barbie doll. |

I personally don't understand how anyone can find another human attractive who isn't disgusted with spitting, farting, ball scratching, excessive consumption of cigarettes/alcohol and macho, immature, selfish behaviour (which incidentally is renowned for worsening with age).
It doesn't say a lot about the other persons character does it. |

| In Asia, I suppose as an older guy, say over 40, Korea is not the best spot for finding a girlfriend or wife. It might be fine for younger guys. I dunno really, just seems that way. |

Being over 40 myself, I always felt the opposite, as long as the older guy is looking in the age appropriate range. Seemed to me there were still a lot of attractive, but lonely Korean women in their 30's and 40's. Then again, I met someone in my first two weeks there, and stayed with her for 3 years, so maybe I just got lucky. |

Well, I'm afraid it does.
Lets look at one example;
A woman finds it attractive (or at least not unattractive) for her partner to be macho and aggressive - basically an alpha male type. The chances are that she has certain personality traits or beliefs, that would encourage or at least in part agree with behavior and opinions that she witnesses and is knowledgeable of. Therefore, the likelihood of that person mirroring or at least condoning that behavior should it occur, is more probable. The two people are compatible in a relationship! Alone however, their beliefs are probably socially conditioned and would take some challenging to re-evalaute any ideas.
In this instance, neither of these two people would be attractive to me. If I was to date this woman, probably, we would disagree on this issue because WE ARE DIFFERENT and therefore we would be LESS ATTRACTIVE to each other.
Another example; your girlfriend doesnt complain that you never take a shower -chances are, she must be a bit of a dirty bitch herself.
I like to think that I have a certain amount of things in common with the women I enter into a relationship with. I dont like women who think its ok to club animals to death for example, or who find racism or bigot-ism acceptable.
And I have a girlfriend who is a 10/10. She also has a personality! We've been dating 3 years now. Whatever that has to do with this thread though, Ill let you tell me since you brought it up. But I think that you have proven that you're a little bit ignorant (and inexperienced with life in general) by the fact you assumed because I have some standards, I must be shagging a dog. |

Well, thats true enough! We save that privilege along with our favourite PJs and old underwear 
I think I might be a bit worried though, if my partner thought farting and poo were hilarious, and frequently guffed in public (on trains etc.) after consuming soju, meat and kimchi as if they were going out of fashion, the previous evening. |
