Yes, of course. I said generalizations are bad and should never be used (like in your example). But people can still complain about America, as it really does affect them too.
right...but some people, maybe not you, like to say "i hate americans." (they are so rude, fat, annoying, stupid, loud, etc.) that hurts my feelings....

and its also annoying when people who have never lived in america, or even been there, start spouting things off about the way things function/don't function or race relations and what not.

not to mention, the U.S. is huge, cities/states vary greatly!
Of course. I am not arguing that in the least. Not just America, judging any person by a generalization (nationality, race, sex, etc) before getting to know them is ignorant. You should try to keep your opinion neutral until you can make a valid opinion about them.

But I will continue to criticize America's international policies until they change, and I feel I have every right to.

You also shouldn't worry about what they say. Just pity their ignorance.

America is pretty cool. Deserts, mountains, beaches, forests, tropical islands, frozen tundra, praries, lakelands, swamps, tiny towns and teeming metropolises. plus everything in between.

Sure, foreign policy sucks. America is democracy AND a republic. The democracy part is mostly at the lower levels, but the people do have the right to a referrendum. Hasn't been used much, or ever.

Still, anyone can run for office..

An American once told me that the Us has 4 distinct seasons. How silly is that?

No, no, no. You must say it right; say it like a Korean would.

"America has four seasons!"
