Hey LiquidSunshine, what's the quality like on the broadcast? Have you used sopcast or TVU before? How does it compare in terms of picture/sound quality? Any problems with the buffering?
Thanks for the info!

anyways, whatever...i'm just giving u guys a heads up. if you prefer not to get hockey this year then don't sign up. it works. i watched toronto get their nice new RBK jerseys handed to them by buffalo today. good game streaming at a good quality. read up on the site, it's right there in black and white....it also states that south korea is one of the countries you can stream from.

Dude, you sound all upset they we won't believe you. We were just checking for verification since about 10 days ago the NHL site said it was only available in N. America.

Anyway, thanks for the update.

i'm not upset...but i am getting quite the eye sore from your avatar. haha

Yeah, yeah. You all hate us and love to kick us when we're down. Yet somehow every Western team is desperate for Toronto to visit so they can get all their seats sold. Lots of envy also from the fact that we never have to worry about money. Don't worry, I understand the jealousy. Cool

Admit it, you actually love the Leafs Wink

Is this more than one site to sign up on? I just started the process and couldn't find South Korea on the country list for the preview. I saw Japan but no Korea.

Could post the link to the sign up page?

Here's my question: My credit card address is still in Toronto. Does that mean I'll be blackedout from Leaf games?

Maybe. They can tell by your IP too. I justgot blacked out of the Leafs Red Wings game.

There is a way around the IP thing, but I don't know how to do it. Does anyone know how to make it look like I am loggin in from Toronto?

Don;t you have to make it look like you're NOT logging in from Toronto? I thought their deal was that all local games were blacked-out. Today I couldn't get either Toronto or Buffalo.

Great avatar by the way

nhl centre ice online with a korean address (korea IS valid now to purchase centre ice online... not regular centre ice through a cable supplier, no, instead the ONLINE edition of centre ice through nhl.com)

got it Smile

no blackouts!! said there would be, but come game time there wasn't...

just go to nhl.com and follow the link through nhltv

easy, simple, credit card payment or paypal, 149 bucks

am watching one of three games on now (four split screen, choose a game, click on it

picture and sound quality EXCELLENT with the ducks-wings game, good with the montreal-carolina game (though french play by play) and a bit fuzzy, tube-ish on the leafs game

no problem with the stream, no stopping, no slowing down the ol' computer

like watching t.v., took minutes to get and the cost is almost nothing when considering it's for the entire season every game

FINALLY, the NHL got a clue and paid a little attention to fans in other parts of the world. Maybe it's the dwindling interest in N.A. that finally was the catalyst? Either way, I have no problem with paying for the season, instead of taking a gamble every day on whether TVU or streamtv.com was going to show Oilers or not, and if it would even work.

*Yes, I know the Oilers are poised to suck this year, but at least I'm loyal.

Definitely something I'm going to invest in once I find the proper cord to connect the laptop to the big screen (0-2 so far)...

BTW... Wings are undefeated and the Leafs haven't won yet.

Music to my ears.

That never even occurred to me (I'm still only half-awake). Too bad I'll also have to get a 30-foot long internet cord, too. The only connection in my place is in my office room, which is pretty much clear across the apartment. Could be a bit inconvenient, but soooooo glorious... Maybe it's time to just get internet installed in the living room too.

I guess it wouldn't be TOO hard to find one of those cables? I have one of those new-ish LCD TVs, but not the one with the USB jacks... Really wish I would've done my research and got one of those; everything would've been so much easier.

Just get yourself a wireless router and a wireless network card for your computer. Problem solved.

Sweet-as... I'm not a total computer-tard or anything, but for some reason I didn't even think of that as a solution.

That's the second thing I learned from you off this board, man (first was the 5x5 program)... Thanks!
