You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once.

No condition in the universe is permanent or absolute.
BTW, who, or what, is R.A.H? |

You windbags scream and yell and wet your pants when someone says the US is sliding toward fascism, but have no trouble labeling Islamists fascists?
Reeeeal objective there, boys.
Come on, right here on this forum, state clearly and without any bull how Islamists of ANY stripe are fascist. |
Fascism saw:
(1) a dictator having complete power,
(2) forced suppression of opposition and criticism,
(3) the regimentation of all industry, commerce,
(4) an emphasized aggressive nationalism and often racism,
(5) unlike Communism, private property being allowed.
Whether (3) is a feature of any of the Islamic states, perhaps a more qualified person can tell us, but if we replace (4) with religious fervor, replace (1) with Allah and agree that both Fascism and Islamism are viciously in opposition to democracy and liberalism, some similarity between the two may be identified. However, since Fascist states distinctively contained (1), (3) and (4) and Islamic states only vaguely if at all, we can say Islam shares the much vaguer "Oppressive, dictatorial control" definition of fascism, which is a valid definition. |
