Yeah, I've gotta say, even though I probably would rather not be driving here due to safety concerns, it really is nice to be able to take a drive through the mountains on a weekend afternoon and catch the scenery. I can take my camera and stop whenever/wherever I want to snap a photo.. Im not chained to a bus schedule or route that way.

Also, it comes in handy with respect to work, sometimes... for example, today, I drove to my school (10km from home) and when I got there, they were going on a field trip. They said I didnt have to go. So now Im sitting at home; day off. BUT, if I did not own a car, I'd be dependent on Koreans for rides and, in that case, I'd have to wait at one of my schools for my Korean 'ride' to finish work and take me home.

However, if I lived in a city with good mass transit and few or no traffic-free scenic roads nearby, I definitely would dump the car.
