Romper had that feel, but americanX seemed a bit more objective to me. |

American History X was a very one-sided, very sensationalist movie, which portrayed skinheads as what white power groups want everyone to believe we're like. If you ask any neo-Nazi under the age of 25, they will tell you they find AHX inspiring, and may have decided to become skinheads because of it. Over at www.skinheads.net, after every time that movie airs on TV, we get a few more retards signing up to meet White allies in the race war. Sure, the movie made its statement on racism, but it handled the material wrong. It ultimately helps the white supremacist movement by portraying white supremacist boneheads as powerful.
Last time we had the skinhead talk on here, it was wu biauxosuan hyori or whatever his name is saying I'm not a real skinhead because I'm not racist. I don't blame him for stupidity like that; I blame American History X.
It's funny that even though the vast majority of skinheads (not counting Russia) are non-racist, there's only one movie out there that portrays any skinheads as non-racists. And that movie hurts white supremacists by portraying non-white skinheads, highlighting the skinhead collection to reggae, and showing how young skinheads were manipulated by racists. |

The movie was "ok". It passed the time. AHX was much better. More entertaining.
I always think of skinheads, be it racist or non-racist, as a club where it's easy to make friends and pick up chicks.
I was too close to a much scarier club than that. In Quebec. I was paranoid for a bit. |

Ultimately Malcolm Maclaren and Viviene Westwood have some resposibily in the rise of the National Front. They sold a lot Nazi memorabelia to young kids from 1976-1980 |

Yeah, basically a club to make friends, and it does help with the women for sure. Who are you talking about in Quebec? |

Hells Angels. You develop a 'don't fk with me' mentality when you're around people like that. Strange. I'll bet my friend (pot dealer) is a member now. Haven't talked to him in a good 7 years. Lived at his house for more than a year. His cousin was a member and had those tatoos on his forearm. Apparently those were for each person he offed or something. He used to drop by and I even visited his place in the country. I was paranoid after that because I knew where he lived and my sister is in the RCMP in the same province. Also used to go to one of their hidden bars. Needed a skull and cross bone pass to get in. I borrowed my friend's younger brother's. Beer was 2 bucks.
Anyway, that's about it. No big deal. A little too close for comfort though. I was there during the big biker war between the Hells and the Rock Machine. 1995 to 1998. Right in the heart of the area. St-Hyacinthe. |
