Nothing is going to change until the wealthiest people in the United States pay the appropriate amount of taxes. Neocons shouldn't pay for the war. Rich people should, they're the ones who got us into this mess.
The saddest thing I know is that there will never be a populist revolution in the United States. We could use a reign of terror, though instead of heads I would like to see bank accounts and real estate collected.
Our best hope is a third party, though money would probably muck that one up too. I would vote for any rich guy who would admit to the above, Warren Buffett did, and god bless him for it. |

If you calculate GDP growth adjusted for monetary expansion you find that the US economy is already in a recession.
