I think I remember this one based on an English skinhead Trevor. They played a song by The Exploited. It was made in the eighties.

Trevor is a 16 year old, sometimes-violent skinhead with no regard for authority, and would rather spend his time stealing cars than sitting in the detention centre to which he is sent. His social worker, Harry Parker, tries to do his best, but Trevor is only interested when there's something that he can get out of it. The authorities within the centre try to make Trevor conform to the norms of society, but he takes no notice, and would rather speak in a torrent of four-letter words and racial abuse. Great call for Meantime.

A Clockwork Orange gets to the core of punk long before Sid Vicioius ever put a dog-collar around his neck.

The Addicts actually sported a Clockwork Orange look.

Best fictional counterculture ever. Here's Hat Trickers, a Japanese clockwork punk band. They come here a few times every year.

Of course that look died in Korea after the Music Camp incident.

Strange format but seems to work in Windows Media Player.

PS) That's not work safe, and don't watch it around Koreans.

Not really a punk movie. But still good.

That's a movie about the Mods and Rockers. A good movie that showed the Brighton riots in 1963. I know a British old geezer who was there. The movie actually inspired a revival of a lot of mod ,rude boy, and skinhead fashions. Plus a renewed interest in classic Vespa and Lambretta scooters.

I would argue it was the first punk movie for what it revived.

So, "the music camp incident" was the Korean version of Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction."

Did it cause as much unjustified consternation?

The two guys who got naked spent three months in jail, and the lead singer of the band was nearly thrown in with them. Also, the club he owned was threatened with a lawsuit. Also, MBC's credibility was injured and they lost an important trial against Joongang and Samsung, whose CEOs they had exposed as criminal scumbags. The scumbags walked free and MBC had to pay them. As well, then mayor Lee Myungbag voiced his opinion that live music in Korea should be regulated like it was in the '70s.

I thought "Decline of Western Civilization" was a good documentary when I saw it.

Heard Jello Biafra bollock it for whatever reason in the '90s but he'sa one string complainant.

DoWC had footage of Alice Bag,Black Flag(??),X,Fear et al...brilliant stuff.

I think it caught the nonsense-ness,even dumd-ass ness of West Coast punk

There's a Dada aspect to Punk.

There must have been reams written aboutWest Coast punk, perhaps tomes even using West coast and East Coast stuff as a contrast.Angry Orange County contrasted with NYC.
