If there was no chemistry whatsoever between you and he didn't think on some level that sex was a possibility, he would have no qualms whatsoever about you staying in the house and none of these issues would have arised.
Seems like it could be an awkward trip.
Of course you have options.
A. Perhaps you want to sleep with him just for s3x. Do it then and the fall out wiht his gf is his problem. You get a nice trip to LA (have back up plans / other people to visit or things yo can do alone if things get wierd between you) and have your conquest.
B. You want to sleep with him, but you have feelings that are deeper for him too. Sounds messy. I'd at least hint to him that you feel that way, see how he responds and you can both agree to see how it goes while you're there. It's a gamble, but one a lot of people would take if they really l-o-v-e-d someone and wanted them. You have to be prepared for feeling like cr@p if it doesn't work out.
C. You have no roamntic or s3xual interest in him. BUT you really want to see him as he is a great friend and you love hanging out as friends, I guess, you'd be willing to make the trip if you really want to see LA and don't get to see each other that often.
D. The above PLUS, he wants to have s3x with you. You find this out once you get there. There is awkwardness between you if he can't get over it. You obviously need back up plans for the rest of your time there, and possibly an escape plan. Wil it be worht the time and money...?
Obivously, the fact that you're posting this question on this site suggests, it is not merely a causal acquaintence for you. At least to me. Kick me in the nuts if I'm wrong though.  |

I look back on my life and every single girl who were considered "friends" were girls who's pants I was trying to get into.
I tried playing the friendship angle, but usually failed and have since put an end to that.
Men aren't really that difficult. We want sex. It's really that simple.
Women are much more complex. Thus they in turn try to make men complex.
But we're not.

If the woman is a lesbian it STILL applies. UNLESS she is total butch bulldog. Actually, trying to turn a hot lipstick lesbian would be the ultimate conquest..sorry, trying to turn her AND her hot lesbian girlfriend. I think this is the grey area where the ugly girl isnt automatically dismissed: if she is the girlfriend of the hot lesbian then it might actually be hot. |

OP, I wonder what in the heck you'd want to get out of this trip. Seems that your motives are not as simple as tourism and meeting a friend.
In any case, I agree with the first few posts and the sundry thereafter. He mentioning that he has a girlfriend is sorta like asking you permission to passive-aggressive you into making it your fault if things go t1ts up and you do hit the sack together (as he secretly wishes).
Picture this: He goes to a bar where Cliff and Norm are his drinking buddies, not bad guys, but typical. He says to em, hey, I got a girl coming in from an international flight so that I could "show her around." Norm knowing that you have a girlfriend, gives you a high five for studdliness, and Cliff asks if he can come and visit too (from the window).
You are, my child, literally asking for it. And, paying for an expensive flight to have something that you could have any night of the week at any city by just lowering your standards a little and agreeing to a one-nighter.
If yur motives were pure and honest, stay at a girlfriend in the neighborhood and meet up with him. Then, he can't shag you without thinking and committing and you can still hang out with your friend without giving the wrong signals. A guy would get that. |
