"BOOKING" clubs are very common. Men pay ALOT of money to buy a table.. and girls go in for free (I believe.. maybe it varies? not sure). |
It varies greatly. I've been to several of these clubs and never paid outrageous amounts. Basically you're forced to buy a "set" which is usually 4 beers and a side dish, fruit usually. The price for this is about 50,000. Of course there are other sets available, and the price skyrockets for whiskey and such. I imagine most of the clubs in Apkujeong and some in Gangnam are the extremely expensive ones, not to mention, they usually refuse foreigners, unless they're women. They usually say, "Sorry Full" instead of "No Honkies".
OzOz in Bundang, at Samsung Plaza has no problem letting foreigners in, I've been there several times with some Korean friends but I never bothered trying booking. I figured most of the waiters wouldn't even take money to see an evil white guy take a korean girl.. not to mention, I think its asking for trouble in a club full of piss drunk black suited ajushis.
But for the ladies, the two western girls I went to these clubs with got "booked" like crazy... half the men in the club who could speak a tiny bit of english wanted a piece of them. |
