the patient may be on the death but that won't stop those of us that knew her and loved her from striving for the best. the whole fake "republican-democrat" choice will be the final nail in the coffin unless drastic medicine is applied.

mrmasan,
I think you are over-reacting. Yes, things are bad. But the old girl (The Republic) isn't dead yet. The Fat Lady hasn't sung.
There's a great opening paragraph in Stephen Vincet Benet's story "The Devil and Daniel Webster": "It's a story they tell in the border country--or, at least, they buried him. But every time there's a thunderstorm around Marshfield, they say you can hear his rolling voice in the hollows of the sky. And they say that if you go to his grave and speak loud and clear, "Dan'l Webster--Dan'l Webster!" the ground'll begin to shiver and the trees begin to shake. And after a while you'll hear a deep voice saying, "Neighbor, how stands the Union?" Then you better answer the Union stands as she always stood, rock-bottomed and copper-sheathed, one and indivisible, or he's liable to rear right out of the ground. At least, that's what I was told when I was a youngster."
We've had crises before and come through OK. We can do it again if we listen to the wisdom of the leaders of the past and present. The trick is to determine which of the present group are learning from all the past leaders...Webster and Clay, Lincoln, Wilson and the Rooseveldts, in addition to the Founders. Be suspicious of anyone who says he and he alone understands what the Founders planned and ignores what the other greats of the past have to teach us. |

Hey Jinju,
If you're so adamantly opposed to Ron Paul because he doesn't support one resolution against Burma, then please tell us who you would support, and we can all pick that person apart for their failings. Honestly, is it that important that an American candidate be so adamant about Burma? America and the West have pretty much enabled that brutal dictatorship for the last 50 or so years, and you're gonna make it a deal breaker? Sounds like picking at hairs to me. |
WRONG. Burma is just one example of his moral decay. Its like tooth decay only it is decay of your ethical and moral fibre. And it doesnt come from not flossing, it comes from supporting evil over a lifetime. |

Jinju,
Hitler was created by the interventionists and socialist of the early 20th century that you support.
If the US government had followed the constitution and followed the advice of the founders there would have been: no federal reserve, no income tax, no US involvement in WWI, no Great Depression, and no rise to power of the Nazi party or Hitler.
The record of the socialists and interventionists is one of total, complete, failure and the destruction of liberty, the destruction of prosperity and the economies of the world, and war.
It's time for Liberty. |

Don't you get tired of straw dolls? There is no less intelligent way to try to win a debate. |
Greenspan qualified his words you kjow that .
Iraq wasn't about oil in the way you describe it. |

Iraq is more democratic than most mideast nations. It is a lot more democratic and open then when its last government was in power. |
