This isn't a conspiracy theory, it's been in the works for decades. The same thing that happened in Europe and Africa will happen in North America. NAFTA is the precursor to a North American Union, and the Amero will be its currency. Youtube "Amero" and you'll find some more information.

Canada, without a doubt has the most to lose.

The future; a boot stomping on a human face, forever.

I was going to ask wtf?

I got these e-mail links earlier today:

After seraching Dave's (omg it actually worked), I found this thread. Does anyone know if this is all craziness, or for real?

Some people like the idea of monetary union. They argue for it. It has certain advantages and lower costs. The US government can't adopt a new currency without congress. The treasury has a hard enough time introducing a dollar coin or a new look to the greenback. I really don't think a congress in the next 100 years is going to be friendly to changing the currency. Senators still need to get re-elected, right? They won't vote for it if their voters seem really attached to the greenback.

Anything else is just wild eyed conspiracy thinking.

i don't think it's fair to compare a North American Union to the European Union... the difference is that the EU has a number of big players including France, Germany, Italy and the UK (i know they're not using the Euro but i'm including them anyway) that are similar in scale... north america has one major MAJOR player and 2 junior partners who would have no choice but to go along with whatever the white house decides (kind of like an official version of what's happening now)

that picture makes no sense, as a long time numistatist there are, like a dozen reasons why you can't have a coin like that. Not to mention you can see its a vector image. The aspect ratio is too perfect meaning it was created digitally. Heck I can make pictures of coins all I want, but it doesn't mean you'll see a Korean Rouble any time soon.

The EU nations also entered monetary union based on a treaty. No one country would decide monetary policy. Certainly Canada and Mexico would not enter monetary union without an iron clad treaty. NAFTA you could have made the same argument. And the winners there? Canada, notably.

And many EU countries are always at risk of getting kicked out of monetary union for having too high inflation or high debts.

Is the US notorious at scoffing at its GATT obligations?

i'm just saying that unless the two (or however many) parties in an agreement are roughly equal, there is a tendency for the stronger party to be a bully and ignore treaty agreements...

No, it's not. Ask the Czech people. Seems to be going the other way.

Your evidence?
