I really enjoyed "Zodiac." It had a great cast...a slow burn.

"Superbad" was hysterical! I saw it twice while I spent the month of August in my home country. It's so raunchy and profanity-laden that it'll never make its way to Korea. I'd love to be a fly on the wall if they did get it and had to come up with accurate subtitles. HA HA!

I agree that the most overrated movie of 2007 was "Transformers." Way too long for kids, or anyone else, and the director really seems like a bit of a misogynist.

The last Harry Potter movie. It was craptastically overrated.

Hey, my wife's Korean!

Actually I totally agree with you, but doubt anyone in any other country has ever heard of it.

You know it opened in the US, right?

Basically, I have two ways to know whether someone has good taste or not:

If they

(a) dislike Zodiac
(b) like Spiderman 3

they are to be ignored about anything movie related for the rest of eternity. They just don't get movies.

Spiderman was out in Spring and,,,

Pirates 3 in the summer. Id vote for that but it wasn't too highly rated by anyone anyway.

what the big Oscar flicks? how soon we forget..

I'd have to say "Transformers" was alittle overrated for my taste- it was good and all but there was something missing........

I would have to say, one of the most UNDERRATED movies of 2007 would have to be "Super Bad", that was one kickass movie

Is anyone on this thread trying to say that any movie was worse than that pile of turds called D War?

Bourne (whatever the 3rd one was called) ~ Rubbish, but there again, the first 2 didn't really do anything for me.
Spiderman 3 ~ *Shakes head* Jesus.
Pirates of the Caribbean 3 ~ See above.
Contract ~watched this last night and was very disappointed given how much I generally enjoy both Morgan Freeman and John Cusack movies.

I've got a copies of:

The Kingdom
American Gangster
Rescue Dawn

to watch tonight so I'll give my verdicts during the week.

Zeitgeist has been my favourite movie this year.

As already mentioned, Superbad was super average as teen comedies go. They hyped it like it was a whole new dimension in teen comedy. Not that it was bad; it was just nothing to brag about.

Additionally, The Simpson's Movie was just a regular Simpson's, just longer. Total disappointment.

D-Wars cannot even be mentioned because, basically all reviews said it sucked, except Korean reviews.

In my opinion, the worst, or should I say, the biggest disappointment of 2007, is Hannibal Rising. Even the book pretty much sucked. It seems to me Thomas Harris was under a lot of pressure from his publisher to churn out this POS. Then, the movie was churned out almost at the exact same time. Not worthy of the Lecter legacy.

Wow, I thought Superbad was absolutely fantastic.

Same with the Bourne Supremecy.

D-War was the worst movie I've seen this year and in my entire life. Spiderman3 was also horrible.

It's amazing how people's opinions can be so different, eh.

D-War wasn't that big of a disappointment to me, because I didn't expect much, and basically knew it would suck huge.

Transformers was yet another Hollywood graphics show in desperate need of a script.

The Brave One with Jodie Foster was quite the dookie sandwich.
