However I had seen them both fly out of mine, so I grabbed it and insisted "its mine". She gave a scowl like I was some sort of thief and went off. Nomally I wouldn't have bothered, but I had exacly the right change for a coke. If I'd let her take it i would have had to break open a 10.000. |
how many cokes do you drink each day? |

The lady who stole from me didn't reach into her pocket at all. She just thought if money hit the ground, it was hers. Since she had a mitt-ful of change in her pocket. I had my wallet in my hand...

I had the exact same thing happen today.
I opened my wallet and out droped two 100w coins. The person next to me was also opening theirs at the same moment and assumed one of the coins was theirs, bent down to pick it up.

Dude, are you really crying over the loss of fifty cents? Isn't your dignity worth a little more than that?
Yes, you have a new baby, who's adorable, but it's not as though that amount will buy a clean diaper, much less put her through university. Save the outrage for the bigger stuff, sooner or later Korea and/ or life will provide something worthy of it |

I don't think he's crying over the amount. What if it was a much larger amount? The "rules" of Korea are such that if a Korean picks up your money and claims it as there's, there is no power in Korea that would ever convince an authority it really is your money. You could have 14 foreigners standing right next to you all testifying it was your money, they would all be discounted and the world of the Korean would be taken. |

Maybe she's the one crying over losing 500 won to me, which was mine in the first place.
The baby thing was a joke. I was pissed off on principal (sp), not because of losing a coin.
