Does anyone know of any presidential candidates who want to restore the Constitution?

More to the point, do you know of ANY candidate who doesn't?

Hillary voted for the PATRIOT Act, but I'll give her and Obama credit for voting against the Military Commissions Act.

everyone should know bush's money quote on the constitution, the document he swore to uphold and protect: "it's just a g0dd@mm3d piece of paper!"

This is not the first time Republicans have shown contempt for the Constitution. Back in the hallowed days of the Nixon administration, Attorney General Edwin Meese, in refering to the First Amendment, said, "It's just another amendment."

Oh, for the good old days when I thought Meese was a pig and it couldn't get any worse. Not only was that an insult to pigs, but we have since hit new lows with John Asscrap (sp?) and this Gonzalez guy.

Yes, at least FDR had the good sense to die in office...before he had himself anointed king or something.

This is not a quote, it is hearsay.

The sources remain nameless.

The unreliable Doug Thompson has not named his sources.

The three unnamed people, still unnamed two years later.

The article (From Google) refer to Doug Thompson as unreliable.

"I even hesitated to post this today, because Thompson is frequently an unreliable source of information, but something like this needs to be investigated and verified or refuted. (Such as his claim, in the very same post, that Alberto Gonzales said the Constitution was an outdated document. He actually said the Geneva Convention was outdated. "
