I think it would likely be an in-between. The freshly dead/killed zombies would be faster and the from the grave corpses would be slow. Just makes sense. As time passed, and rot set in, all the zombies would get slow.
The real question is how long it takes the zombies to starve to inactivity, assuming that flesh/blood is their fuel. Eventually the corpses would have to rot to nothing.
I think the best anti-zombie tool is homemade napalm. Though it might be a waste of gas. A burnt body isn't moving anywhere.
Now, if they were Deadites, that's a totally different problem. |

I'm from Ireland so there aren't many guns although my dad has a shotgun and my uncle a rifle so maybe if we could those together...
If in Ireland we would have a pretty good chance. low density of population in the west, and have a farm. Keeping people around who can do stuff like, fix engines, gut, clean animals, etc would be important. Stay away from the city as much as possible but raid country medical centers and generally live off the land for a while. |

Ireland's problematic as it is pretty much deforested. Wood would be important in a post apocalyptic world.
I've always set the apocalypse in my head in the Middle US. The isles would likely return to some sort of barbarism is the apocalypse was worldwide. It makes sense that a sort of viking raiding system would assert itself.
Interesting... time to get writing. |

assuming that most people would be zombies(in my version) and because we have peat we should be ok. Actually I'd say living in an old farmhouse on a hill with turf(peat) might be the way to go. I was also assuming that the whole world devolved into barbarism and the real peril would be after the zombies! |
