I miss Auckland, New Zealand... having spent an entire summery January there, with mid-20s C sunny days, idyllic weather since I don't like sweaty 30 C places. I sometimes think it's where I'd like to settle down, despite my being a Canadian.

I miss Berkeley, California as I've visited a friend in Oakland and Alameda for weeks at a time and found that particular part of the Bay area to be so great. Really wished I'd gone to university there. Great place.

I miss Montreal, Canada. I spent a month at a college buddy's during the time of 9/11, had spent three days to a week several times during the 90's, my visits in June for the jazz festival and August, September were magical, even the February week to attend an academic conference was great, the cold so apt to that place. I felt like I was in the middle of everything, an international city, yet very much home. I swore I'd spend a couple of years there.
