Seoul was a blast and I'm already planning another visit next year with my wife, so I think that a 2004 Yellow Bar reunion is in order.

This is a definite go. We've been doing these things roughly every couple of months and they get just a tad better every single time. By the time you come back with the wife, we'll have this thing down to a science. Word.

Thanks for making the scene and thanks for the tips you threw my way about what to do and see in the north areas of Thailand (I'll likely be there in two weeks time, yeah!) and maybe someday I'll do the Chiang Mai / Koh Samui run via motorcycle as you suggested - and yeah, like everyone else I'm damn jealous of your photographic skills, and mainly consoling myself that you must have thrown away a lot of lousy ones to be able to show us these lovelies ... right? Please?

Oh, and sorry about the thing with Mysterious Delta Rays. I told the guy, sure, shake Dave's hand, bend his ear a bit if you like and tell him all the stuff the mods are doing wrong, even pat him on the shoulder, okay, but I swear I told him, DON'T go slappin' him around or anything!

Man, that guy never listens ...

Hey Dave,

It was a real privilege meeting you. You're such a mellow, easy going guy, not pretentious in any way- wishing there were more folk like you in the hood.

BTW, you must be careful as Seoul is very addictive (it's my drug of choice- along with Tim Horton's Coffee- idiots even put nicotine in it- can you believe it?!) I am looking forward to seeing you again next year. Also, really enjoyed watching your interview with Jeff LeBow (Pusan Web).
Cheers!

katydid: next time don't be shy, okay?

rapier: thanks about the photos. Many, however, were not taken with a zoom, but a 50 mm lens.

William Beckerson: I was into photography since I was a teen, but am just now getting back into it again, thanks to digital cameras.

BTM: Are you sure that you didn't mean any of the bad stuff about me? My wife says the same thing, you know?

ghostwriter: Sorry ... I'm back home in Los Angeles!

Bobster: Definitely make it to Chiangmai. My CM photos are at:

Harpeau: Next year for sure! Wow ... I just now discovered the webcast. Cool. The rest of you can find it at:

Cheers to all,

Dave

I would have liked to meet you, Dave. Would have involved meeting some people I didn't wanna meet. Glad you had fun. Yes, Korea is cool. I used to hate it, but then something changed.

I would have condescended just like The LORD and tolerated you.

Next time!

Hi dave,
Nice to meet you. If you come again in 2004 defintely another yellow bar get together is order. I would comment on the photos but apparently your site is too saucy for my PC room.

CLG

Your PC room is not the only one saying that the website is banned because of immoral material.

Sheesh! What is it with this country? Is this China or Korea?

Did you know that I was asked by the Bakersfield School district to remove the slang section of my website?

http://www.eslcafe.com/slang

I refused, and I'm now proud to say that Dave's ESL Cafe is banned in Bakersfield, California. Is that something to be proud of or what? Embarassed

Cheers,

Dave

Way to go Dave! Fight the system. Slang is a living and breathing part of any language. It might not be necessary for EFL students like ours in Korea, but certainly useful for ESL students in California. Too bad they have a zero-tolerance attitude in Bakersfield.

Zero-tolerance = fascism.

Man to think I ALMOST worked for a paper out in Bakersfield. I interviewed at the time a Judas Priest concert was in town and the girl showing me around seemed quite proud the former mayor of the town was Grandpa Joe (?) from Hee Haw.
I'm not kidding.
