I find it does.. I also do so every 6 months or so. I keep mail and other data on another partition, and only programs on the C drive.. makes it easier to regularly firebomb and start fresh. |

yeah everything runs smoother. I also find I recover some disk space. I'm using 8% less now even though I loaded a couple of extra programs. I have no idea why.
I have reformatted and re-installed in the past after my wife or I have dl'd some ad/spyware crap that seemed to permeate my entire system. Like Kazaa way back when it was revealed they had included hidden software to utilize other peoples pc's.
BTW I had no trouble with Windows update.
Now if I can just get that mosquito that's feasting on my ankles. |
