I've got a kyopo buddy who was involved in some pretty nasty gang business in the US. He's got tattoos up and down his chest, stomach and back. Still got pulled in to do his military service.

Even worse...My Korean friend says they make the people come back in a couple of months with the tattoos removed. (Mp first hand knowledge of this subject however... I'd say Korean consolates are the people to ask, although that's tip them that you're coming.)

Start eating. Once you hit 100+ kg (it might be 110 now, not sure, this is a 1995 figure), no draft.

How's this: If you are a bona fide Korean citizen and fully capable and qualified, DO YOUR DUTY TO YOUR COUNTRY! Mad It builds character. Don't complain about the presence of USFK if you don't serve your obligation..(I know, I know,..nothing was said about this in the original post)...it just chaps my ass..I just saw a news piece about this Dual Military couple (both are in the service) they were deployed to Iraq, the Mom (grandma) was taking care of the kids. Apparently they wore her out and she couldn't handle it. The Army granted the mother emergency leave to come back to the US and settle the situation. She, (the mother) decided not to return to theatre and go AWOL. Piss on that, she should be discharged without delay, stripped of any benefits; her husband should also feel the pain. It's a regulation that all married miltary couples have a family care plan that works in the event of a deployment. If not, out you go!! It goes back to: You knew what you were in for when you signed up (again!)

Sorry... Embarassed
