Penang will give you a normal 60 Day tourist visa. Not sure if it gives two back to back visas or not.
You could always try and apply for a non-immigrant B visa - just need to write a letter explaining what your business will be in Thailand. Some crap about wanting to export Thai silk to Nova Scotia or something like that should do it.
Seoul issue 12 month Non-Imm-B's
It's just as easy to go to Seoul and get it done there. Consulate in Laos is ok but rather hot and dusty. The consulates in Cambodia are finicky and really slow.
The other problem you have is they may well enforce the 90 day rule for VOA's if you try the coming in and out on them. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't
Don't forget as well that you may be required to show 20,000B at the land crossings as well - it's in the rules but not often enforced.
Best to get the visa here if it's only going to take two trips to the consulate. |

I do believe you missed the could.
I was perfectly doable in Hull and Glasgow a couple of years ago.
As it was perfectly doable to get an Non-Im-O telling them you were going to look for a wife.
I got my Non-imm-b in Korea just with a letter inviting me to a schooll there again that was a long time ago. 2002/3 |

This is the little bit but very important piece of info you forgot to tell the OP
I got my Non-imm-b in Korea just with a letter inviting me to a schooll there again that was a long time ago. 2002/3
Now you need this letter in English and Thai
You need the schools registration number
Plus a shit load of other stuff.
So OP don't go for an Non-Imm B. You will not get it. |
