Had a couple of Korean and Japanese kids in my last Australian PS. First they were just scared, it was crazy for them. Few rules, open defiance of the teachers and a fair bit of violence.

Then they did start to go crazy. After years of hagwon and ps hell, to suddenly, mistakenly, see an environment with no rules, they turned into very badly behaved kids.

However, this only lasted a couple of weeks at most, before they were pulled into line by an ESL teacher who had spent a few years in Korean and Japan.
