I spent a little over a month in UB and found that it did have a decent nightlife. There is a place called Metropolis out near the new Sky Department store that is good, but the best place would probably be Dave's, the British pub off of Sukhbataar Square.

That being said, Mongolia is best for it's incredible natural beauty, unique culture, and friendly people. Not so much a place to go clubbing.
