What's the government doing to intergrate people?

I remember the Canadian government pushing hard for the big idea: Multiculturalism.

There wasn't 60 seconds on the tv or a billboard on the street that didn't have slogans like "Racism: Stop it!" or "We are stronger together" back in 2000. Pictures of groups of kids from about 20 races and cultures hugging each other. I have to say that I was utterly proud of the government for that....but then they stopped after 9/11. Sad

That's not the American way. The courts tend to protect minorities by preserving programs like Affirmative Action and integration programs in schools by busing. But even these things are starting to erode.
