Broken Blossoms (1919)
A silent film with Lillian Gish and Richard Barthelmess, two of my favorite silent film stars. |

At Play in the Fields of the Lord - beautiful cinematography of the Brazilian rainforest
The Breakfast Club - Molly Ringwald does her makeup with her boobies. What could be more beautiful than that? |

the taste of tea- its a Japanese movie, kind of felt like the Japan version of "Little Miss Sunshine" although it might have came out before LMS.
I also just saw Wristcutters: A love story, thought it was beautiful. Much different than the fall though. It has Tom Waits acting in it...thats just cool. |

These are a bit dated, but classics one and all...
Baraka
Koyaanisqatsi
Latcho Drom

What's that guy's name? The one who does the music for Koyaanisqatsi?
Anyway, I saw it an it's sequel (there are two or three I believe). Beautiful camera work and good ideas, but the music was terrible! Maybe if I was sentient in the 80's I wouldn't think so but now... terrible! |

Yes. Him + synthesizer = worse than sticking a funnel in a cat's mouth and making like it's a bagpipe. |

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (which precedes both House of Flying Daggers and Curse of the Golden Flower)
Saving Private Ryan
Wedding Crashers (no, really - for just a romantic comedy there was a LOT of thought put into cinematography)
The Godfather |

Are you talking about photography or cinematogrophy?
Of the top of my head, for dazzling photography check out:
The Cell
Punch-Drunk Love
Any Terrence Malick movie (someone already mentioned 'The Thin Red Line')
Vanilla Sky
Marie Antoinette
The Fountain (also already mentioned- really underrated flick)
Um... damn, my mind's gone blank. There are many more gorgeous movies I'm forgetting. |

What is the difference?
I am guessing photography since all the ones you mentioned fit the bill. |
