We are trying to adjust to Firefox. Addons we use (for security purposes) are NoScript, AdBlock plus, Keyscrambler 2.0 and SnoopFree Privacy Shield.

It is secure, sure, but accessing pr0n and so many other sites (ActiveX stuff) is, well, slow/troublesome - as to be expected. Allow this. Don't allow that. Warning. Check this stuff first. etc., etc., etc.

Having cheap, fast, stable internet in Korea is like joyfully riding a souped-up snowmobile across the snow-covered terrain. Very Happy

Then, it flips over, trapping you underneath. Shocked

At night, the ice weasels come. Crying or Very sad

(Credit to Matt Groening for that one)

Regards,

G.

korea is retarded because they all build their sites using asp. any site requiring active x is just plain 바보 ... and that includes microsoft's WGA plugin when you try and update products. active x is a virus nightmare.

opera is the best browser. it's really light, fast and smooth. but it's not very flexible in terms of addons or modifications.

however, FF3 is pretty damn fast now. and it has a lot more applications ... the only downside to the plugins is that having too many slows FF down. beta 3 is stable enough to use daily. beta 2 crashed a few times, but beta 3 hasn't crashed at all ... yet.

keeping addons to only the most crucial 5 or 6 will keep FF bug free and very fast.

I've got to agree with that. Firefox is too "heavy" (uses too many system resources) for my taste, but I love some of my plugins so much that I find it difficult to use any other browser.

And with performance issues seeming to be significantly ameliorated in FF3, I'm almost completely happy with it. (And I'm really picky with browsers, web or otherwise.)
