because the species that drives escalades is more important than a species that has been around much longer. brilliant.

So the people should pay just because the liberal environmentalists don't want the caribou to be displaced? You think caribou are more important than humans?

Don't forget that oil drilling will also kill lots of owls!

Eh..the owls will fly away. They'll be okay. Versatile kingdom.

I hope it will push one of those resourceful people that seem to pop up in times of need, to come up with cheap, easily transportable/utilised, and safe energy. Like the nuclear battery. But that person is definitely not me and I will not become the Bill Gates of the Energy Age.

no, the ecosystem is more important than every individual organism.

that's the shitty part of the argument, when it comes down to either side getting its way, they boil it down to one specific thing like the seals or the whales. saleable to dumb people on both sides.

either "i love the seals, i'm dumb!" or "i don't give a shit about the seals, i'm dumb!"

not "ecosystems are interesting and diverse things that can be irreparably damaged by human negligence".

i like venison but i'd eat an SUV owner before i'd eat a caribou.

de-think the save-the-one species thing and think about the big picture.

if you are promoting more oil consumption you're an idiot and an asshole. bandleader, here's your titanic. have fun.

Has it put a lethal brake at any record level so far?
