The only difference with other popular artists being that they have better publicists and handlers to hide the flagrant behaviour from the public eye. Miss Winehouse seems to have none of that.....which I predict will end soon now that she's a 5-grammy winner.

shes an idiot, pissing her tallent away, fair enough anyone with money takes drugs, but shes not a mad rock star, shes a soul singer,
i didnt like the glastonbury preformance, she was off tune and drunk and drugged up, she should have understood that if she appeared sober for that one and pulled off a great show she could have really taken her career to the next level |

Tons of Soul/jazz singers were *beep*-ups. I think she has cultivated her rebel image a little to fit that. Now she's an addict and we all know where that leads. She is young, so there is hope. But yeah, a waste. |

To paraphrase Bill Hicks......look at your record collection. All those great artists, The Beatles, The Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Elton John, Led Zepplin, The Who.........the list goes on........guess what?.......they all took tons of drugs and drink!
Since when did we demand that our pop starts lead puritanical lives? That's bullshit.
I don't judge how people I don't know live their lives. I just like good music.
The only thing that worries me about Amy Winehouse is that the good music will stop. The rest is up to her. |

| I have yet to hear an Amy Winehouse song, but I see her on CNN alot and now here. From the looks of her it's not my taste in music but if she wants to shoot-up and drink her "talent" away then do it. I still have to work regardless if she's sober or not so why should I be bothered about her. Let her have her 15 minutes. Besides alot of good performers sucked after they cleaned up their acts. Patti Smith, John Lydon, Jim Carroll to name a few. Some let it get the best of them which kinda sucks but it was their life to "f" up, not mine. Stiv Bators, GG Allin, Sid, Ray Beez, Dee Dee Ramone. Just my two cents. |

I think her music's really good but like The Libertines people get put off by the image of her in the media.
She's clearly mental but I loved her attacking that fan. |

perhaps what i meant to say when i said "she can't sing" was "she can't sing when she's ripped on whatever cocktail of substances she takes" which seems to be all the time.

Jim Morrison was also known to be a mess on/off stage.
He's almost as famous for it as his music. |

Drugs are fun, thats the point of them. I had an absolute shedload of drugs last night and had great fun. But then I had too many, couldnt do anything with the girl I pulled and missed my lunch today with a girl I think I might be in love with. So they are funny and fun but Miss Winehouse and myself run into problems because of them |
