this is a website for english teachers. it's not jerkish to expect a little bit more.

I disagree. I think you are being petty. When I correspond with anyone in the district office or with my principal (here in Canada), I make sure that I use correct grammar and that I have no spelling mistakes. I do this because the e-mails are written in a formal context. The 'Off-Topic Form' of Dave's ESL Cafe is not a venue to warrant such attention to detail (in my opinion).

If you like to take care with your punctuation and grammar in all situations, all the power to you. However, to point out the minor grammatical errors of another poster, on an internet forum, seems a bit much.

no, you're wrong. "your" and "you're" is so fundamental that it is ok to get irked by it. it's also ok to get irked by anyone who suggests that someone is going to get their widdle feewings hurt if you point it out.

that said, the OP was looking for canadian sayings. in a situation such as this one, any dyed-in-the-wool canadian would most likely say...

"FACK-AAAAAAWWWWFFF!"

discussed here at 2:48 or so...

Shocked I had seen a few of these commercials before, but never this one. I think this one is the most searing.

That one reminds me of this one that used to be on tv when we were kids:

Thanks Astar for teaching me not to jump into a clusterfuck of chainsaws. XD

I like the comments below the video.

Is Canada really that dangerous? Saws and spinny blades all over the place?
