Just kidding, I remember 1980 as well. Not that well, but I do remember it.
Seriously though; it's true that the IDF stomped awesomely in that case. It was apparently a real shock to everybody involved that nobody got shot down. They made it look easy, in a sense, but really it wasn't.
This time it'll be even harder.
The big differences between then and now are 1) Iraq was at war with Iran at the time, I think, and not anticipating an Israeli attack, and 2) Iran has a lot more AA and missles and stuff than Iraq did.
If the Israeli airforce does make a move here, it'll be tough going, and success is not a guarantee. Surely they'll mess up the power plant, but whether or not that will end Iran's nuclear program is not certain. |

Circa 2007 the IDF took out a Nuke plant in Syria.
I remember that.
What really surprised me was that they didn't take out the nukes in Paki. |

| I wonder how many nukes Pakistan has, and what range they have? I got the impression they're all pointed at India...hey, does India have nukes too? I think they do. |
