Incheon is a great aiport. Princess isn't the brightest star in the sky.

Taipei was really bad, is it still?

I don't remember Kuala Lumpur being that great either (but that was 11 years ago...)
Maybe I'm not the brightest star in the sky, but who cares? I'm entitled to my opinion. At least I don't come on here and call you names like a 2 year old. So, if you like something or don't like something, we all have to agree with the almighty crazy arcade, or we are stupid, huh? Whatever. Rolling Eyes

Incheon and HK are both good, but HK wins on food.

LAX is my most hated airport, by far.

I like Schipol Airport which is in Amsterdam.

I agree, the transpo into town is a cake walk. In addition the signs give walking times to each terminal so you can get to the gate on time. Oh....and lots of brew whilst you wait.

Worst. LAX. What an F'ing third world airport. This video is hilarious. I think it was on another thread but I'm not sure.

Having just this past weekend been in Incheon, Norita, London-Heathrow and Manchester's Airport, I can say that Incheon is the best of the bunch.
Norita seems permanently under construction and always half built. I swear, in the three years I've been in Korea, and flown through Norita, there is ALWAYS something being constructed there (although, to be fair, I do find that there are easier and better amenities to access while in Norita)
London-Heathrow is a fucking nightmare. This was the first time I've flown through Terminal 5, but I can now easily see why they were losing so many damned bags when they first opened. Poorly laid out is putting it mildly.
Manchester airport. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just boring as hell.
Incheon on the other hand? Nice and spacious. Never too busy while going through immigration/security and many things to do while waiting for your flights. Although, like another poster pointed out, I'm tired of walking through there and being stared at by gaggles of Koreans. It's 2008! You'd think these people might finally accept that there are more than just Koreans in their country.
Of all the airports I've been in, I would put Incheon at the top of the list. It sure as hell beats out places like O'Hare, Pearson and Heathrow.

Stared at in Incheon airport? I find it's the one place in Korea I don't get stared at.

Shoot, maybe I should travel with you. I dressed casual, but neat, am normal looking, yet people were still staring at me. Apparently, it's not just me this happens to either.

Vancouver airport is pretty nice. Lots of shops, good food court, very nice looking, but it still is laid out the way they seem to like to lay out airports in North America; lots of levels, long hallways, confusing.

Incheon is wonderful because all the gates and check ins are on the same floor, so it is impossible to not find where you want to go. It's clean, open, spacious, although the restaurants/pubs could be much better.

Hong Kong I saw at a stopover, and I wasn't blown away, seemed bland to me.

LAX is horrid, but they did have a pub serving "John?" Adams beer? Can't remember the name, if that's right, but draft beer and nachos makes it better than Norita.

How is the new Bangkok airport?

Rubbish. They spent so much money on it, with long delays and the planning was so crappy that they still had to re-open the old airport to deal with overcrowding, and because the tarmac was unfit for planes to use. There were a bunch of other problems too, it was a big scandal when it first opened.

Anyway, now it's up and running. The design is new and ultra-mod looking, but the functionality sucks. It just feels like a gigantic department store. You're forced to walk (deliberately I think) for like 30+ minutes through duty free shopping before you reach your gate from outside, which is really annoying.

Sam Adams...a sort of pale ale? That's from Boston as I recall.

And where is one afforded this rare treat? I assume you mean the smoking lounge that is fairly much ubiquitous around the world (save for Melbourne, grr!). Incheon has grown on me as an airport and I think its ranking is largely deserved.

Incheon is nice, but I prefer going to Kimhae as it is closer; plus, they have remodeled Kimhae and it's pretty nice now.

I was to the Helsinki airport twenty-eight years ago; it was nice when I was there--not sure what it's like now...

As someone said in another post though, how much does Incheon get used when compared with an airport like Heathrow?

The new airport in Bangkok sucks badly. It is too cold. It is a lifeless place. The walking in horrific.

I liked the Incheon airport the times that I have been there.

Hong Kong has always been my favorite. I recall a few months ago when I was sitting in a bar sipping on a Carlsburg. I told the man I was just going to run to the smoking area quickly. The bartender looked at my friend and I as we stood up and asked why we weren't taking our pints with us. He informed us that it is ok to wander around the airport with our pints from the bar as long as we brought them back. How sweet is that? Plus, they have free wireless everywhere!
