Funny, you mention this....in my sociology class we had a teacher read a letter from a former student who went off to China to teach or with the Peace corps.
She pretty much bashed the entire country like an angry Dave's post in a very liberal rant....I was pretty annoyed the teacher actually read the letter. She made the Chinese look like Amoral asshats who have no manners, and even less tact.... |

Actually, I knew a Russian girl who said the same, and she wasn't liberal. At least, the part of China she went to was horrible. She said many Chinese people were horribly rude to her and her mother. I heard it's much better in Shanghai and the southern areas, and it not so nice in the northern areas. One of my friends had good things to say about China. He enjoyed it. I think when it comes to this, it depends on your job, your location, and also your attitude. There are several factors involved. |
