At the baggage claim, you are the only young female wearing flats.
(real experience). |
This is so true. I've taught at Unis in Usa, France, and Korea, and Korean female students dress like the others, except their shoes. Everyone wears the high heels or dress shoes. I worry about these girls on the stairs, I've seen some near falls several times. |

Interesting that you mentioned 'flower patterned blur'. |

1) Immigration smiles and welcomes you back...
2)The people at the airport are actually knowledgable about basic information.
3)They deal with you with a smile and insist on leading you to the correct bus stop.
My experience, feel free to flame me for being positive.

| You wake up at 4AM to the sound of a loud banging coming from the street outside your window. Glass shards are flying all over the place as you watch a 30 something guy take a big wooden hammer to a huge mirror, this goes on for 15 minutes. All of the neighborhood dogs start barking, and no one says jack shit. |

Ahh, bless. |
...and it was a Saturday morning, at that, true?
Well into this thread's 2nd page, those who have positive things to say about Korea are well ahead...glad to see that (and yes, I do have some reservations about life in ROK)! Only yesterday I didn't take the 1st park bench I came to, here in Victoria, BC, because of the large accumulation of spit next to it; spit happens (here, too)!
Enjoy your Sunday, you all...have some bulgogi junseok (sp?) for me...and, oh, a mini bottle of bek sjou, too! |

ditto.
Trying not to let it get the better of me this time round...after all most negative things I perceive are nearly always all in my head. Perspective is the name of the game. |
