Anything by The Grateful Dead always has a way of letting me know its gonna be ok. Jerry can always get me out of a funk.
Sometimes "I want You Back" by the Jackson Five can get me in a bit of chipper mood. |

This might be new to many of you, but please be open minded. I started appreciating emotion inducing trance from living in Germany about 10 years ago, but I won't do ecstasy.

Why the hell not? It really is alot of fun.
I love songs with funny or interesting lyrics, especially when the music is a bit of a contrast.
Cattle and the creeping things by the Hold Steady

There is a light that never goes out by the Smiths

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine |
I'm also a big house fan, but too many to mention. This is not that housey but these two songs always cheer me up, both by the Avalanches.

Moz was singing to his gay lover in that one. Well he's singing about his gay lover in most of the Smiths tunes. Brilliant songwriter he is. To bad him and Johnny couldn't get along. |

Anything by The Queers/ Angry Samoans/ Hard-Ons makes me laugh.
People shouldn't take musical lyrics to seriously. I hate it when someone says "Oh that song inspires me to...." or " I was so moved by_____ song"
I want to take a baseball bat and smash their skull in. It's music, not a cure for cancer. If I want to hear preaching or how screwed up the environment is I will turn on the TV. Get a life loser. If you take some bands music seriously then you suck. I hope you die. Anyone can scribble pointless words on paper and make a song. It doesn't matter. Johnny Cash said in a song "I killed a man in Reno, just to watch him die." Now that is funny, thats good song writting, that makes me laugh. |
